Kona by the Sea:Kona by the Sea is oceanfront. Kona by the Sea is a beautiful oceanfront complex. Kona by the Sea is situated on a rocky shore, this condominium resort offers 86 units scattered amid immaculate grounds, two miles from the center of Kailua-Kona Village and from two golf courses. Unlike most condominium resorts on this stretch of the Kona Coast, Kona by the Sea has a sandy area roughly 70 yards wide and 15 yards deep set between the ocean and the resort’s fresh-water pool. Resort amenities include an oceanfront fresh-water pool, spa tub, and gas barbecue grills. Spa Hina offers various treatments and therapies, along with yoga and massage services. Opened in December 2005, the on-site Spa Hina (open Monday–Saturday) offers yoga classes, seaside or lanai massage, essential-oil treatments, cranial-sacral therapy, and personal training. Body scrubs, organic wraps, water aerobics, and Pilates are expected by mid-January, 2006. The following are due to open in March 2006: Esthetician room for manicures, pedicures, facials, and waxing services; vibrational treatment room; training center equipped with physio balls, bands, cable-pulley systems, free weights, and benches; health food bar.
