Drive down the coastal road five miles to outstanding beaches to snorkel, work on your tan, surf or boogie board. Enjoy the marvelous view. Property offers an elevator and swimming pool. Or take a leisurely walk to Kailua Village where there's a wonderful beach for little kids, shopping, a variety of restaurants and Kona's festive nightlife.

Ride the waves at Magic Sands Beach just 2 miles away, or travel just another mile and half and enjoy exceptional snorkeling and sun bathing at Kahaluu Beach. With shopping and dining within two miles, and world-class beaches just minutes away. Enjoy the ocean front pool, lavishly planted grounds, and sunsets amid swaying palms. Close to Kona shops and dining. Kona town offer a large choice of restaurants, stores and art galleries. Most of the Big Island activities depart from Kona town. Polynesian surroundings, palm trees, flowers and oceanfront setting.Kona Alii is 20 minutes from Kona International Airport. Two beaches to enjoy in Kona: Kahaluu Bay is a small black sand beach with excellent swimming and snorkeling. Disappearing Sands Beach usually has good swimming conditions between April and October. One of Kona's most popular resorts.

The large Keauhou Shopping Centre is located a ten minute drive south, as is Kahaluu Beach Park. This is popular spot to surf and snorkle; it is frequented by turtles, and has a sheltered access for novice snorkelers. The Kona Country Club golf course is the closest golf course, and has 36 championship holes, pro shop, driving range, restaurant and lounge. There are other golf courses to the north, and a course at the Volcano Golf and Country Club, which at 4,000 feet is the highest course in Hawaii. Volcanoes National Park is a two hour and twenty minute drive away.

Driving Instructions:

From the airport, take Queen Ka'ahumanu Highway (Highway 11) south. When you get to Palani Road turn right and follow it to Alii Drive. Go left (south) on Alii Drive. Kona Alii is on Alii Drive, in Kailua-Kona. It is about 20 minutes from the airport.
